is therefore continuing with the third day of the trek. Apart from Machu Picchu that you see on the 4th day was the day's most interesting at the ruins that we have the chance to visit ... Incidentally, for those who want to make this trek, you should know that it is very important to book at least 3 months in advance (minimum!) Indeed, the trail can be borrowed by 150 new people every day. I think it managed by UNESCO. The price for the 4-day trek up to $ 1,500. Mine cost around $ 300 and seeing people from other groups, I can tell you that it's almost the same quality. We leave all the same bus and even train to Cusco ... If you're interested, here is the link agency who sold me the trek. Given that there is a booking system, you have to go through an agency.
In the morning, I much more energy! After 1 hour of walking we arrived at the ruins of Runkuracay. The guide told us it was a religious spot probably because the windows overlooking the surrounding mountain peaks. For the Incas, the mountains were manifestations of "Pacha Mama" (Mother Earth).
After this site, we continued to ascend to the second "transition" (3999 meters) after which there was another site rather imposing. There were several "rooms" and it is believed that this site served as an inn for travelers Inkas. I made a small mistake by cons: just before the site, the road was divided into 2: up to the site (but I did not know) and down to continue the trek. I was so shaped that morning I had outperformed all others, except of course, the holders. So I took the wrong direction for two reasons:
- Holders went from below (in fact, they do not waste their time stopping at the ruins!)
- other ruins I saw the bottom of the Valley (which I thought to be those that the guide had told us and who was also a rallying point)
It broke my energy for the rest of the day, I was the first after Plue! But despite the mishap, the 3rd day was great because I saw at least 5 sites Incas. For cons, the descent was considerable. After the second famous site (the hostel Incas), what was but downhill. According to the guide is 3200 steps we took to the rest of the day. Each of these steps has been carved out of the hands of men there are over 500 years.
Arrival at camp (ultra-crowd with even a restaurant and pay showers) around 14:00. 2 beers, lunch, dinner. The entrance to my tent was 50cm of a precipice! Dodo at 21:00. Machu Pichu tomorrow!
